About – Imelda Johnson: RN; DipRM; Principal Therapist
Imelda has worked in the health industry for over 30 years. She was working as a registered nurse in 1984 when curiosity forced her to seek out one of the only massage therapists in Australia at the time, Jerry Perrot.
He gave her some advice that would guide her practice for the next three decades – “You don’t need to crack a bone – you just need to put the soft tissue back in!”
Her pursuit to expand on his knowledge has led Imelda to keep studying, exploring and testing her work. Her strong intuitive nature and tactile ability to find the problem is evident in all areas of her work – whether it is massage, naturopathy, homeopathy, iridology, prime tuning or dry needling.
The culmination of Imelda’s work is her own specialized practice: Myoarticular Therapy.
Imelda has worked and lived in the Byron Shire for over 25 years, she now resides and works in the heart of Bangalow driven by the desire to help.
